I was never a chemistry whiz in high school however I do know a thing or two about the importance of balancing your bodies’ pH to optimize health!

The pH scale is a scale from 0.0 (very acidic) – 7.0 (neutral) – 14.0 (alkaline)

Our ideal blood pH is neutral, slightly alkaline.  Our bodies will work very hard to maintain this harmonious balance to ensure optimal health.

When one consumes a very acidic diet, our bodies must work in overdrive to return back to that slightly alkaline state.  Too much acidity in the diet can put our health at risk.  

Knowing which foods are alkaline verses acidic will allow you to take control of your health and set your own balance.

Acidic Foods – causes “toxic” buildup

  • Too Much Animal Protein
  • Caffeine
  • Artificial Sweeteners
  • Dairy Products
  • Pop/Soda
  • Processed Foods
  • Refined Sugar

Alkaline Foods – Keeps that clean machine working!

  • Fruits
  • Veggies
  • Nuts and Seeds
  • Plant Based Proteins


Unfortunately, the SAD (Standard American Diet) consists of proportions close to 80% Acidic Foods and 20% Alkaline Foods.  This SAD (yes it literally is very “sad”) is slowly killing us and is potentially contributing to many health problems such as:

  • Obesity
  • Childhood Obesity
  • Infertility
  • inflammation
  • Complications during pregnancy
  • Diabetes
  • High Blood Pressure
  • Heart Disease
  • Depression
  • Mental Health Disorders
  • Osteoporosis

Cut the CRAP now and change those percentages towards 80% Alkaline Foods and 20% Acidic Foods!
